高速钢刀具在切削负荷较重的条件下,则多用水基冷却润滑液,切削负荷较轻而精度较高和表面粗糙度要求较低的条件下则多用油基润滑液,使刀具与工件表面间形成润滑膜,减少摩为了实现高速切削,要有适合于高速切削的刀具材料和刀具制造技术来支持,现在使用的金属切削刀具材料可分为九种,包括从切削速度低、经磨性能差的高速钢铣刀。
硬质合金铣刀车刀粗车外圆及端面的进给量车刀刀杆尺寸BxH/mmd/mm0.3~0.4、0.5~0.7、0.8~1.2、20x30,刀具材料不同,允许的高切削速度也不同,高速钢刀具耐高温切削速度不到50m/min,碳化物刀具耐高温切削速度可达100m/min以上,陶瓷刀具的耐搞温切削速度可高达百。
不同直径的刀具以及加工不同的材料,切削参数都是不同的,一般钢料为6~15m/min,调质钢或较硬的钢料为5~10m/min,不锈钢为2-7m/min,铸铁为8~10m/min,在同样材料时,丝锥直径小取较高值,丝锥直径大取较低值。
